Fabric mosaic technique - animation

Here's a time-lapse of an experimental fabric-mosaic technique that I'm working on with my wife, PatchAndi, as a possible addition to www.youpatch.com:

Those are actual photos of the construction, achieved by sticking pieces of fabric onto a backing piece, color by color.

The aggregation algorithm of similarly-colored rectangles is a little different from the original quilt design, available here. Size is roughly A2.
